On May 2nd 2016, delegation from TGGS which consists of Asst. Prof. Dr. Monpilai Narasingha, TGGS Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekachai Juntasaro, TGGS Associate Dean for Research and Academic Service, Dr. Chayakorn Netramai, TGGS Associate Dean for Administrative Affairs and Asst. Prof. Dr. Suramate Chalermwisutkul, Advisory to TGGS Dean, met with the representatives from RWTH Aachen University which are Prof. Dr. Edmund Haberstroh, RWTH Aachen Delegate to TGGS, Prof. Dr. Bernd Markert, Rector's Delegate for Alumni and Dr. Henriette Finsterbusch, Director of International Office. This year, the meeting took place again at the RWTH Super C Building in Aachen, Germany.
The TGGS/RWTH Aachen annual meeting has been conducted every year in order for both parties to discuss about current activities and future plan. This year, the discussion focused on the on-going academic cooperation, international academic event as well as exchange activities and the expansion of the alumni network in Thailand and its region.
RWTH Aachen University is one of the best technical university in Germany and in Europe. It has been an important partner institute for TGGS project since its beginning over ten years ago. With the renewal of the MoU between TGGS, KMUTNB and RWTH Aachen University in 2015, both parties have seen continuation of research and academic collaboration, for instant, the second grant for seed fund and boost fund initiative from RWTH Aachen university to promote research collaboration between RWTH Aachen and TGGS professors, the scholarship opportunity for TGGS student to conduct their research work at RWTH Aachen research institutes and lately the opportunity for TGGS students to participate the RWTH Aachen summer school.
